How Does it Work?
WEB gives a donation one time per calendar year.
Timeline: Presentations in January. Voting and giving in February.
Leadership will poll the membership in December in regards to how many charities will be presented in January to determine the amount of meeting time required for presentations.
2025 Recipient: Wayne Cares
The mission of Wayne Cares is to provide food and other material support to people in need. They operate a food pantry to supply our community with food and household items to help alleviate hunger and poverty. WEB’s donation will be used to purchase items that are needed but often missing from local food drives.
2024 Recipient: Wayne Senior Center
Project: Community Gardening at Skunk Hollow at Willows Park Preserve. Harvested produce will be distributed to food insecure older adults at the senior center and supplement produce used in the Center’s “Let’s Do Lunch” weekly plant–based meal series.
